“Shugal-e-Azam” Performs Comedy Theater At PNCA

ISLAMABAD: A comedy play based on the hilarious drama “Shugal-e-Azam” was staged at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on Thursday to amuse the fun seekers and youth of the twin cities.
The play’s plot revolves around the duties of a king who has been kidnapped and replaced by untrained individuals. The drama begins when the king makes poor choices and causes unrest among his subjects.
It was penned and directed by Asma Butt, and produced by Ammad Butt. The play was presented by Dolphin Communication in association with the All Pakistan Chinese Overseas Youth Federation.
As a sign of friendly relations toward Pakistan and China and to bridge the cultural divide between the two nations, the play has been sponsored by the All Pakistan Chinese Overseas Youth Federation.
“Through a variety of activities, the Federation promotes culture on both sides and fosters interpersonal connections,” said Asma Butt.
The play was intended to help depressed people and young people without jobs find quality entertainment in the country’s capital.
The purpose of the event was to bring quality event for entertainment and discourse to the twin cities. “Through soft expressions of performing art, the play carried a message for Pakistan’s progress and prosperity that everyone should play a good part in order to help the nation out of its predicament,” Director Asma added.
