Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja on Saturday assured that the government is working closely with PTCL and international partners to swiftly resolve ongoing internet disruptions while ensuring uninterrupted connectivity in flood-affected areas.

Speaking to a private news channel, the minister acknowledged the difficulties faced by citizens due to slow internet services and service interruptions. She said technical teams were working round the clock to identify and fix the causes of the outages.

“The government is monitoring the situation closely and has already initiated measures to restore full connectivity as soon as possible,” she added.

Khawaja said the government was also exploring backup systems and alternative solutions to improve service reliability and prevent future outages. Maintaining a strong communication infrastructure, she stressed, was vital for supporting work, education, and daily activities.
