Islamabad: As Eid-ul-Fitr approaches, the festive spirit is in full swing across the country, with markets bustling with eager shoppers. This year, intricately designed Shalwar Kameez and colorful bangles have emerged as the top fashion trends, reflecting the essence of traditional Eid celebrations.
According to a report, demand for embroidered Shalwar Kameez and vibrant bangles has skyrocketed, with major shopping hubs in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, and Islamabad witnessing a surge in footfall.
“Most of our branded Shalwar Kameez collections have sold out, including designs from leading fashion houses,” said a shopkeeper at a popular clothing store in Lahore.
In Karachi’s Tariq Road market, another shopkeeper noted a rising interest in Farshee Shalwar Kameez, especially among young girls. “This Eid, intricate embroidery and traditional patterns are in high demand,” he said.
The festive shopping spree has also boosted business for bangle sellers, with markets stocked with a wide variety of glasswork, sparkling stone bangles, and trendy charm designs.
“No Eid is complete without bangles,” said a shopkeeper at a well-known bangle store. “We are selling out quickly as women of all ages look for the perfect set to match their outfits.”
Shoppers, especially young girls, are excited to pair their Eid dresses with matching bangles. “I want a fancy Farshee Shalwar Kameez with elegant bangles to complete my look,” said a college student. Another schoolgirl added, “I love the new bangles with charms and tassels. They add a trendy touch to my outfit.”
With just days left until Eid, the rush in markets is expected to continue as shoppers seek the perfect ensemble to celebrate in style.
