Seminary Teacher Held for ‘Torturing’ Student

Faisalabad: City Jaranwala police have arrested a teacher from a local seminary on the direction of the City Police Officer (CPO) on charges of severely torturing a student.

Police spokesman Nawaz stated on Wednesday that Qari Ehsan, a teacher at the seminary, subjected a student to severe torture. Upon receiving this information, CPO Faisalabad Kamran Adil took immediate action and directed the police to arrest the accused.

City Jaranwala police subsequently arrested Qari Ehsan, registered a case against him, and placed him behind bars. Further investigation is ongoing.
