Rupee Sheds 4 Paisa Against US Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani Rupee on Thursday depreciated by 4 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading, closing at Rs 281.51 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 281.47.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the US Dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 281.75 and Rs 283.25, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Euro depreciated by Rs 1.80 to close at Rs 318.02, down from the previous closing of Rs 319.82, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese Yen slipped by 1 paisa to close at Rs 1.95, while the British Pound saw a decrease of Rs 1.67, closing at Rs 374.12 compared to the previous day’s Rs 375.79.

On the other hand, the exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal appreciated slightly by 1 and 2 paisa, closing at Rs 76.64 and Rs 75.05, respectively.
