Islamabad: The 13th anniversary of the death of the renowned Pakistani drama artist, broadcaster, and English newscaster Rizwan Wasti was commemorated on Wednesday.
Born in Lahore in 1937, Wasti embarked on his career as an English newsreader on Radio Pakistan in the 1960s, later transitioning to notable roles in PTV dramas.
Collaborating with his wife, the esteemed actress Tahira Wasti, Rizwan Wasti left an indelible mark with their performances in numerous memorable drama serials. Some of his well-known works include Shama, Aagahi, Arosa, Unkahi, Uncle Urfi, Tanhaaiyan, and Aabgeenay.
His legacy continues in the entertainment industry through his daughter, Laila Wasti, who is also actively engaged in the showbiz world. The 13th anniversary served as a moment to reflect on the contributions and lasting impact of Rizwan Wasti in the realm of Pakistani drama and broadcasting.
