Rawalpindi Hit Hard as Punjab Registers 109 Fresh Dengue Cases

Lahore: The total number of dengue cases in Punjab has risen to 2,498 after 109 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours, according to the Punjab Health Department.
Most of the new cases were reported in Rawalpindi, which registered 98 infections. Lahore and Attock each reported two cases, while Gujranwala, Chakwal, Sialkot, Mianwali, Lodhran, Multan, and Chiniot recorded one case each.
Over the past week, 964 new dengue cases have emerged in the province. A spokesperson for the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department reassured the public that adequate precautions and treatment resources are in place to manage the outbreak. Public sector hospitals are well-stocked with medicines to handle the influx of cases.
The Health Department has issued an advisory urging citizens to maintain clean and dry surroundings to minimize mosquito breeding and prevent the spread of the virus. Public cooperation is critical as health teams continue their efforts to control the situation across the province.
