Rajab Butt Assaulted During Court Appearance in Karachi

Karachi: Popular YouTuber Rajab Butt was physically assaulted by a group of lawyers during a court appearance at a sessions court in Karachi on Monday, leaving him seriously injured.

According to sources, Rajab Butt had arrived at the court to seek interim bail when a group of lawyers allegedly attacked him without warning. The assault resulted in injuries to his jaw and mouth, causing significant bleeding.

Following the incident, tensions escalated within the court premises. However, police and court staff promptly intervened and managed to bring the situation under control.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and no official statement has yet been issued by the relevant bar associations.

Despite the incident, the court extended Rajab Butt’s interim bail until January 13. After the brief court proceedings, the injured YouTuber was shifted to a medical facility for treatment.

Hospital sources said his condition is stable, though further medical examinations are being conducted.

Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation and are reviewing footage from the court’s security cameras to identify those involved. Authorities have assured that legal action will be taken against the perpetrators, emphasizing that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
