Punjab Remains In Grip Of Dengue Fever: 203 New Cases Reported

Lahore: The Health Department reported 203 new cases of dengue fever in various parts of Punjab on Sunday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 8,726 across 36 districts this year.
Presently, 169 patients are receiving treatment in various hospitals across Punjab, with 74 of them hospitalised in Lahore district.

The situation is still continuing, with Kasur four, Sheikhupura and Hafizabad each recording two new cases, whereas Attock, Khanewal, Chakwal, Nankana Sahib, Bahawalpur, Toba Tek Singh and Layyah each reported one case of dengue during the last 24 hours.
Punjab Health Secretary Ali Jaan Khan issued a compelling plea for citizens to maintain clean and dry surroundings as a preventive measure against dengue fever. Khan urged cooperation with health department teams which are working tirelessly to combat the outbreak.
