Punjab Boards Announce Class 9 Results

Islamabad: The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) across Punjab have officially released the results for the Class 9 annual examinations.

In Lahore, the results were announced by Rizwan Nazir, Secretary of the Lahore Board, and Tauseef-ur-Rehman, Controller of Examinations.

According to the board, a total of 308,073 students appeared for the exams, with 138,894 passing, bringing the overall pass percentage to 45.08%.

Performance was higher in the Science Group, where 111,681 of the 235,247 candidates passed, a pass rate of 47.47%. In contrast, the Arts Group saw a pass rate of 37.37%, with 27,213 out of 72,826 students successfully clearing their exams.

A significant gender gap was noted in the results, as girls continued to outperform boys. The pass rate for girls was 53.83%, while boys achieved a pass rate of 35.33%. Officials noted that girls consistently showed a higher success rate.
