Punjab Announces Winter Vacations from Dec 22 to Jan 11

Lahore: The Punjab government has announced winter vacations in all educational institutions across the province from December 22 to January 11.

According to an official notification, all government and private schools will remain closed until January 10, while Sunday, January 11, will be observed as a weekly holiday. Educational institutions will reopen on January 12.

Azma Bokhari Takes Notice of Assault on Young Singer

Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has taken notice of an alleged incident of police violence against young singer Rehman Ali in Mianwali.

In a statement, she said a video circulating on social media showing violence against the singer was deeply regrettable. She assured that the incident would be thoroughly investigated and strict action would be taken against those found responsible.

Azma Bokhari emphasized that violence against members of the artistic community is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Two Passengers Offloaded Over Fake Visas

Two passengers were offloaded at the airport after authorities detected fake visas during immigration clearance, officials said on Saturday.

The passengers were stopped from boarding the flight and further legal action was initiated in accordance with immigration laws.
