Punjab Announces Winter Vacations for Schools, Colleges

Lahore: The Punjab Higher Education Department on Monday announced winter vacations for all public and private educational institutions in the province.

According to the official notification, colleges and universities will remain closed from December 23, 2025, to January 10, 2026, with classes set to resume on Monday, January 12, 2026. 

BS four-year programmes, however, will continue to operate during this period, and all examinations will proceed as per the schedules announced by the respective boards and universities.

Earlier, the Punjab government had declared winter vacations for all schools in the province, which will be observed from December 22, 2025, to January 10, 2026, with classes resuming on January 10, 2026.

The notification emphasized that both public and private institutions are expected to follow the scheduled vacation period, marking a temporary pause in the academic calendar for students across Punjab.
