Private Lab Sealed for Overcharging on Dengue Test

Kahuta: A private laboratory in Kahuta was sealed on Monday by Assistant Commissioner (AC) Ayesha Zafar and health department officials for overcharging on dengue tests.

The action followed a complaint from a citizen who reported that the lab, located on Thana Road, had charged him more than the rate set by the Punjab government for dengue testing.

Upon receiving the complaint, AC Zafar promptly acted and sealed the laboratory. Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to closely monitoring private medical facilities and will take strict action against overcharging or the provision of substandard services.
