President, PM Laud Security Forces for Crushing Terrorists

Islamabad:  Pakistan’s security forces killed nine terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed Fitna al-Khawarij in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Saturday.

According to the ISPR, the operations were carried out on December 5 following intelligence reports of terrorist presence in Tank and Lakki Marwat districts.

In Tank, security forces engaged a terrorist hideout, and after intense gunfire, seven terrorists were neutralized. In Lakki Marwat, two more militants were eliminated.

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the deceased terrorists, who had been involved in multiple attacks against security forces, law enforcement agencies, and the targeting of innocent civilians.

The ISPR stated that sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the areas.

The military emphasized that the counterterrorism campaign, under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, will continue at full pace to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.

President, PM Commendations

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif lauded the security forces for their successful operations in Tank and Lakki Marwat.

The President appreciated the timely and effective action, paying tribute to the sacrifices of the Shuhada and Ghazis, and reaffirmed the nation’s resolve to eliminate the terrorist threat.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the armed forces for neutralizing nine terrorists and highlighted that under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, security forces are achieving major successes in combating terrorism.

“The entire nation stands with Pakistan’s armed forces in this war against terrorism,” the Prime Minister said, expressing determination to eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country.

Mohsin Naqvi Commends Forces

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the professionalism, courage, and swift action of the security forces. He said the operations thwarted major threats and demonstrated the exceptional skill and commitment of Pakistan’s personnel.

“The security forces neutralized the militants with remarkable efficiency. The nation takes pride in their bravery and professionalism,” Naqvi said, adding that the security apparatus remains fully determined to restore and maintain lasting peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
