PPP Observes 46th Death Anniversary of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto

Islamabad: Today, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) marks the 46th death anniversary of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the former Prime Minister and founder of the PPP.
The occasion is being observed through various events at district headquarters nationwide, with the main ceremony taking place at Bhutto’s mausoleum in Gharhi Khuda Bux near Naudero in Larkana.
The commemorative activities include Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani services held across the country in remembrance of the late leader.
In honor of the day, the Sindh government has declared a public holiday.
Bilawal Bhutto Pays Tribute to His Father’s Legacy
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid a heartfelt tribute to his father, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, acknowledging his pivotal contributions to Pakistan’s foreign policy, democracy, and national progress.
In a statement on the anniversary, Bilawal highlighted Bhutto’s groundbreaking foreign policy, which earned Pakistan respect in the Muslim world and the global arena. He also lauded his father as the nation’s first directly elected Prime Minister, a leader who united a divided country, uplifted its people, and set Pakistan on a trajectory of growth and prosperity.
Bilawal emphasized that Bhutto’s leadership empowered the working class, ensuring their rights and securing their place in the nation’s development. Additionally, he credited Bhutto with laying the foundation for Pakistan’s nuclear program, strengthening the country’s defense capabilities.
“Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto continues to live on in the hearts of the people,” Bilawal concluded.
