Police Arrests Suspect for Threatening Woman with Acid Attack

Lahore: The Lahore police have arrested a suspect for attempting to assault a woman with acid after she refused his friendship. The woman reported the incident to the Virtual Women Police Station via the 15 emergency helpline.
According to the details, the suspect had been harassing the woman on the street and persistently pressuring her to befriend him. After her repeated refusals, the man began issuing threats and attempted to blackmail her.
The Virtual Women police station quickly dispatched officers to the scene after receiving the woman’s call. The suspect forcibly entered her home and attempted to assault her, also trying to throw acid on her. However, the woman’s family intervened after hearing her cries for help, causing the suspect to flee.
Thanks to the swift response from the Virtual Women Police Station, immediate protection was provided to the woman. Lodhran police have registered a case and taken the suspect into custody. Authorities urge women to call the emergency number 15 and press 2 to contact the Virtual Women Police Station if they feel unsafe.
