PMD Issues Weather Advisory For Multiple Regions

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts rain-wind or thunderstorm with snow over high mountains is expected in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), Kashmir, Islamabad, the Potohar region and northeast Punjab during the next 24 hours.
Partly cloudy weather predicted in most upper parts of the country during the period.
Moderate to heavy falls would increase water flows in local nullahs and streams and trigger landslides in the vulnerable areas of Kashmir, GB, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, and Abbottabad on Tuesday morning.
In Islamabad, partly cloudy weather with chances of rain-wind or thunderstorms is expected during the morning hours, stated PMD.
According to Met, partly cloudy weather is expected in most upper districts in KP. However, rain-wind/thunderstorms with snow over high mountains are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Haripur, Swabi, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kurram and Kohat.
Partly cloudy weather is predicted in most upper partsin Punjab, with a chance of rain-windor thunder in Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mandi Bahuddin, Hafizabad, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Noorpurthal, Sahiwal Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar.
Partly cloudy weather is likely in most districts of Balochistan. However, rain-wind and thunder are expected in Ziarat, Khuzdar, Lasbela, Zhob, Barkhan, Awaran and Turbat.
In Sindh, partly cloudy weather is expected in most upper districts of the province. However, rain-wind and thunder are likely in Sukkur, Dadu, Larkana and Mirpurkhas.
During the last 24 hours, rain-wind and thunderstorms occurred in Kashmir, upper KP, Punjab, northeast Balochistan, and GB.
