PM Shehbaz Condemns Israeli Strikes on Iran, Urges Global Action

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned what he called an “unprovoked attack” by Israel on Iran, warning that it could further destabilise the already volatile Middle East.

In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), the prime minister expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives caused by the Israeli airstrikes on Tehran and conveyed condolences to the Iranian people.

“I strongly condemn today’s unprovoked attack by Israel on Iran,” he wrote. “My heartfelt sympathies go out to the Iranian people for the loss of lives in this assault.”PM Shehbaz Condemns Israeli Strikes on Iran, Urges Global ActionReports indicate that the Israeli strikes hit several high-value military and nuclear targets across Tehran and other cities, resulting in the deaths of several senior Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists, including Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri and physicist Fereydoon Abbasi.

The prime minister cautioned that such actions could lead to a broader conflict in the region and called for urgent international intervention.

“This reckless and deeply troubling act poses a serious threat to regional stability,” he said. “We call on the international community and the United Nations to take immediate action to prevent further escalation and safeguard regional and global peace.”
