Plastic Bags Under 75 Microns Banned in Punjab

Bahawalpur: The Punjab Environment Department has intensified its campaign against plastic bags to create a pollution-free environment, said Inspector Waheed Murad Lashari.
According to a press release issued on Tuesday, efforts are underway to significantly reduce the use of plastic bags. Lashari emphasized that bags with a thickness of less than 75 microns would not be permitted.
Traders and shopkeepers are urged to ensure that products, groceries, and other items are not packed in plastic bags thinner than 75 microns.
