PKC Holds Annual Fundraising Event in Islamabad

Islamabad: Pakistan Kidney Centre (PKC), Abbottabad, held its annual fundraising event at Margalla Hotel, Islamabad, to mark the completion of another year of dedicated healthcare services. 

The event was attended by philanthropists and people from various walks of life, who appreciated the relentless efforts of Dr Khalil Ur Rehman and his team in providing specialized medical care to kidney patients in remote areas with limited healthcare facilities.

PKC has been instrumental in offering dialysis treatment to kidney failure patients, advanced kidney stone treatment using modern techniques, and other renal surgeries. 

Since its inception, the center has performed over 100,000 dialysis sessions, 4,000 surgical procedures, and screened 25,000 patients through free medical camps in rural areas of the Hazara Division, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Former provincial health minister Dr Jamal Nasir lauded Dr Khalil Ur Rehman’s dedication and commitment to serving humanity. Noted cartoonist Nigar Nazar also supported the charity cause by presenting her artwork and literary contributions.

The event highlighted the vital role of PKC in providing life-saving treatments and emphasized the need for continued support from the community to sustain and expand its services.
