Pindi Reports Two New Dengue Cases

Rawalpindi: Two new cases of dengue were reported in Rawalpindi within the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2,697.
Dr Sajjad Mehmood, the District Coordinator of Epidemics Prevention and Control (DCEPC), stated on Monday that both cases originated from the Municipal Corporation area.
According to the DCEPC, currently, 14 patients have been admitted to the city’s allied hospitals, with six confirmed cases among them. A total of 2,689 individuals have been discharged after receiving treatment. Dr Sajjad highlighted that two patients are in critical condition.
In the previous week’s indoor surveillance efforts, teams inspected 2,553 houses, discovering larvae in 17 of them. Similarly, during outdoor surveillance covering 1,721 locations, teams detected larvae at one site, as reported by Dr Sajjad.
