Pindi Reports 30 New Dengue Cases in 24 Hours

Rawalpindi: The total number of dengue patients in Rawalpindi has reached 368, with 30 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
According to the District Health Authority’s latest report, Potohar Town and Municipal Corporation areas were the most affected, each recording 11 positive cases in the last 24 hours.
The report highlights that Chak Jalal Din remains one of the most impacted areas of the city. Health authorities have intensified efforts in these areas through awareness campaigns and anti-dengue spraying.
Additionally, the Chief Minister’s Mobile Health Unit visited Chak Jalal
Din, conducting a range of pathological tests for local residents, including CBC, LFTs, and RFTs. The health unit also examined 216 patients during its stay in the affected areas.
The report further reveals that 65 percent of dengue cases reported in Rawalpindi are male, with a gender ratio of 2:1 (male to female patients).
Since January 2024, financial penalties amounting to Rs.13.0 million have been imposed, along with the registration of multiple FIRs and challans against Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) violators.
A comparative analysis shows that punitive actions this year are four times greater than in 2023. However, the average number of confirmed positive cases has significantly declined compared to last year.
