Pindi District Records 2,366 Dengue Cases

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi district’s total tally has reached 2,366 confirmed cases, with 22 more cases arriving in the last 24 hours.
District Coordinator of Epidemics Prevention and Control (DCEPC) Dr Sajjad Mehmood, said that, among the new cases, 11 have arrived from the Potohar town urban area, six from the Municipal Corporation of Rawalpindi, four from Rawalpindi Cantonment and one from Chaklala Cantonment.
Presently, 50 patients are admitted to district hospitals, of which 36 are confirmed cases, while 2,329 were discharged after treatment, Dr Mehmood added.
During indoor surveillance in the last 24 hours, the teams checked 9,421 houses and found larvae in 331 homes. Similarly, while checking 4,412 places, the teams found larvae at 29 sites during outdoor surveillance, revealed District Coordinator.
Dr Sajjad informed that the district administration has registered seven FIRs, issued tickets to six, sealed one premises, and imposed a fine of Rs 6,000 against the violations of dengue SOPs during the last 24 hours.
