Muzaffargarh: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) team disposed of approximately 450 kg of deceased chicken found loaded onto a loader rickshaw along the main highway.

A spokesperson from the food authority revealed that the expired chicken was being transported to various food establishments within the district using the vehicle number LEG-3916. The Civil Lines police station apprehended the suspect and registered a case against him.

The spokesperson emphasized a stern approach towards individuals involved in distributing spoiled meat, affirming that stringent actions would be taken against them.

Ground Situation: Encouraging the public to report any incidents of food adulteration or the sale of expired meat, he urged them to contact 1223 to register complaints regarding such crimes within the region.

Street vendors and small-scale food enterprises frequently disregard fundamental hygiene protocols, leading to the widespread circulation of unhygienic food.
