Polio Cases in Pakistan Rise to 69 This Year
In a separate development, Pakistan recently reported its 69th polio case of the year, involving a 13-month-old girl from Tank. The National Institute of Health (NIH) confirmed the virus, marking the fifth polio case reported in Tank this year.
Since last year, Balochistan has recorded 27 polio cases, followed by 21 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 19 in Sindh, and one each in Punjab and Islamabad.
Authorities have called on the public to ensure their children receive polio vaccinations and to participate in ongoing anti-polio campaigns to help eradicate the virus from the country.
