Bajaur: In the midst of already strained medical resources, the Khar District Hospital in Bajaur is facing a critical challenge as its X-ray machine has been out of order for three months.

This unfortunate situation has left hundreds of daily visitors from Khar, Bajaur and Mohamad districts grappling with their health issues, particularly poignant during the holy month of Ramazan.

According to sources within the hospital, the X-ray machine at the district headquarters in Khar has been non-operational for the past three months, severely affecting the local community’s ability to access vital healthcare services.

This situation is particularly concerning given the rising poverty rates in the area, as many residents cannot afford private X-ray services.

As a result, healthcare challenges for the populace are exacerbated, highlighting the urgent need for repairs or replacement of the machine to ensure adequate medical care for all, the source maintained.

Habibul Hassan Yad, a member of the Human Rights Commission, has urged the health department to quickly fix the X-ray machine at the district hospital.

He emphasized that health is a basic human right and the government must ensure all hospitals in the district are well-equipped.

The broken X-ray machine not only delays diagnosis and treatment but also shows bigger problems with healthcare access in the area.

Yad Urges Sustainable Healthcare for Local Community.
