Islamabad: Pakistan’s celebrated martial artist and Guinness World Records holder, Rashid Naseem, has once again made history by setting 25 world records in a single year, cementing his status as the country’s leading record-breaking athlete.
According to official figures published by Guinness World Records, Pakistani participants achieved a total of 43 records in 2025, with Rashid Naseem alone accounting for more than half. The records span a variety of disciplines, including skipping, nunchaku, marble tile breaking, boxing punches, and walnut breaking, showcasing his versatility and stamina.
Remarkably, Rashid’s record-breaking success extends to his immediate family, making the achievement a rare multi-generational legacy. His daughter, Fatima Naseem, secured four world records, his wife, Saba Rashid, added one more, and his father, Naseemuddin, created a record at the age of 73.
Together, the family accounts for 31 of Pakistan’s 43 recognised world records in 2025, an unprecedented feat in the country’s sporting history.
“This is more than personal achievement; it is a testament to dedication, discipline, and family support,” Rashid said, highlighting the inspirational value of his family’s accomplishments.
Beyond national recognition, Rashid represented Pakistan at international record and talent competitions in Italy, Romania, and Spain, attracting global attention and raising Pakistan’s profile in competitive record-setting events.
Other Pakistani achievers contributing to the national tally include Irfan Mehsud with six records, Mohammad Arshad with two, and Sufyan, Wajahat, Shahzaib, and Abdul Basit each securing one record. One record was also achieved by a private company.
Rashid Naseem’s extraordinary performance adds to his growing legacy, following over 28 world records approved in 2024, and positions him as a symbol of Pakistan’s rising excellence in international sporting and skill-based competitions.
