Pakistani Rupee Depreciates Against Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee depreciated by 11 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Thursday, closing at Rs277.74 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs277.63.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were reported at Rs278.50 and Rs280, respectively.
In other currency exchanges, the Euro decreased by 55 paisa, closing at Rs306.76, down from Rs307.31 the previous day. The Japanese yen also saw a slight decrease of 03 paisa, closing at Rs1.89.
Meanwhile, the British Pound experienced a notable drop of Rs4.53, trading at Rs364.43, compared to Rs368.96 the previous day.
Conversely, the exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 03 paisa and 02 paisa, closing at Rs75.61 and Rs73.99, respectively.
