Pakistan Skittle New Zealand for 110 in U19 World Cup

Islamabad: Pakistan’s lethal bowling attack dismantled New Zealand’s batting line-up in their Super Six stage match of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup at Harare Sports Club on Tuesday.

The New Zealand Under-19 side was bowled out for a modest 110 runs, unable to withstand Pakistan’s disciplined and aggressive bowling performance.

Fast bowler Abdul Subhan led the attack with an impressive four-wicket haul, while Ali Raza provided strong support by claiming three wickets to keep the pressure firmly on the Kiwi batters.

PCB Seeks Bulletproof Vehicles for Australian Team

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally requested the Punjab government to provide two bulletproof vehicles to ensure enhanced security for the Australian cricket team during their upcoming stay in Lahore, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

Australia’s T20 squad is scheduled to tour Pakistan for a three-match T20 International series ahead of next month’s T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The visiting team is expected to arrive in Pakistan on January 28.

The three-match T20I series will be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on January 29, January 31 and February 1.

This tour will be Australia’s third visit to Pakistan since March–April 2022, when they toured the country for a historic Test series, followed by an ODI series and a one-off T20 International. Australia also featured in three matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 held in Pakistan.

In T20 International cricket, Pakistan and Australia have faced each other 28 times. Australia have won 14 matches, while Pakistan have claimed 12 victories, with one match ending in a tie and another producing no result.
