Pakistan-England Second Test Moved to Multan

Multan: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a revised schedule for the three ICC World Test Championship fixtures between Pakistan and England, scheduled from October 7-28.

The second Test, originally set to be played at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from October 15-19, has been shifted to the Multan Cricket Stadium.

This change is due to the National Bank Stadium undergoing major renovations ahead of next year’s ICC Champions Trophy, which will also include matches at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Rawalpindi’s Cricket Stadium.

The rest of the series remains as planned, with the first Test from October 7-11 and the third Test from October 24-28. Both matches will be held in their original venues, Multan and Rawalpindi, respectively.

The England men’s cricket team will arrive in Multan on October 2. PCB Director Usman Wahla expressed excitement about the tour, stating, “The PCB is thrilled to welcome the England men’s cricket team to Pakistan.Despite minor adjustments, we remain committed to supporting fans and ensuring a memorable tour. We look forward to a fiercely competitive Test series and showcasing Pakistan’s renowned hospitality.”

Revised Schedule:

7-11 Oct – First Test, Multan

15-19 Oct – Second Test, Multan

24-28 Oct – Third Test, Rawalpindi
