Pakistan Denies Shaheen Missile Use, Slams Indian ‘False Narrative’
News Desk
Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly dismissed recent Indian media reports alleging the use of Shaheen missiles during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsus, terming them baseless propaganda designed to mask India’s operational failures.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Office on Monday, Islamabad rejected the claims that surfaced following the release of a video by the Indian Army on its official social media platforms.
The footage purported to show Pakistan using Shaheen missiles; however, it was later quietly removed after the Indian Army realized the claims were unfounded. By that time, the narrative had already been widely circulated across Indian media.
“Pakistan categorically rejects the baseless allegations being circulated in Indian media,” the Foreign Office said. “These are part of a deliberate attempt to divert attention from India’s failure in Operation Sindoor and to falsely portray Pakistan as engaging in nuclear blackmail.”
Despite removing the video, the Indian Army has yet to issue a formal clarification or apology. The Foreign Office criticized this silence, calling it indicative of a troubling trend in which “misinformation is spread without accountability.”
“The Indian Army’s failure to address the issue publicly, along with the Indian media’s unprofessional conduct, poses a serious threat to regional stability,” the spokesperson said. “It is unfortunate that some Indian organizations continue to amplify disinformation instead of verifying facts.”
Pakistan Reaffirms Use of Conventional Weapons Only
Clarifying its military response during the recent escalation, the Foreign Office stated that Pakistan had relied solely on conventional weaponry.
“In response to Indian provocations, Pakistan used Fateh missiles, drones, and artillery to target Indian military installations, including in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir,” the spokesperson said, citing the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release dated May 12 for detailed information.

Reiterating its commitment to peace, the Foreign Office emphasized that while Pakistan seeks regional stability, it will not compromise on its national sovereignty.
India Accused of Preparing False Flag Operation
In a separate development, Pakistani security officials have alleged that India is orchestrating another false flag operation in Indian-occupied Kashmir. This comes after The Sunday Guardian, an Indian publication, ran a story attributed to Ehsanullah Ehsan, a former spokesperson for the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The article claimed that Pakistan was planning two more attacks in Kashmir.
Officials in Islamabad dismissed the article as part of a broader misinformation campaign led by India’s external intelligence agency, RAW.
“This is nothing more than a smokescreen for India’s own preparations for a false flag operation,” a security source said, alleging that Indian agencies have a history of using controversial figures like Ehsan to spread anti-Pakistan propaganda.
“Indian intelligence routinely ghostwrites articles under Ehsanullah Ehsan’s name to mislead international audiences,” one official added.
Pakistan has urged the international community to take note of India’s disinformation tactics and provocative actions, warning that such behavior undermines regional peace and escalates tensions in South Asia.
