Nomination Papers Rejected

Peshawar: The nomination papers of former communication minister and PTI leader Murad Saeed for constituency NA-4 Swat were rejected in Peshawar on Friday.

The local leader of PTI, Suhail Sultan Advocate, while confirming the rejection of Murad Saeed’s nomination papers, said the reason behind the denial of the nomination papers would soon be made public.

Murad Saeed was earlier elected as MNA from the same constituency in 2018 and later served as federal minister for communication.

Meanwhile, in connection with the general elections, the registration of the documents of the candidates continues on Friday.

According to the spokesperson of the ECP, so far, 89 papers have been completed on the specific vacancies of women in the Provincial Assembly.

The screening of 36 candidates for female seats in the National Assembly and 22 candidates for minority seats in the Provincial Assembly has been completed, said an Election Commission spokesperson.

So far, the process of scanning the documents of 147 people has been completed, said an Election Commission spokesman.

The scrutiny of the documents of candidates will continue until December 30, an election commission spokesman said.
