No Imran Family Members in Elections Race?

Islamabad: Aleema Khan, sister of Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has declared that neither she nor Imran Khan’s other sisters or his wife will be contesting the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8 next year, as reported by local media.
Speaking with journalists outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Aleema firmly stated her decision not to participate in the elections, even if personally requested by Imran Khan.
When asked about the possibility of any of the sisters or Bushra Bibi running in the election, Aleema clarified that none of them has intentions to do so, emphasizing their presence primarily for the PTI founder’s cases. She highlighted differences between Imran Khan and past leaders like Bhutto, underscoring the absence of a comparable young generation during Bhutto’s time.
She accused Nawaz Sharif, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo, of manipulating the system by preventing candidates from submitting their nomination papers, alleging the seriousness of the cases against PTI members, hinting at potential severe judgments by December 30.
Expressing a reliance on Almighty Allah for justice and hoping for the same from the Supreme Court, she expressed disappointment with the current proceedings. She remarked that if justice isn’t found there, they will seek it from a higher power.
