NA Unanimously Commends Brave Defenders of the Motherland

Islamabad: The National Assembly (NA) on Monday unanimously passed a resolution lauding the armed forces of Pakistan for their exceptional professionalism, vigilance, and bravery in safeguarding the country’s territorial integrity against unprovoked Indian aggression.

Moved by Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, the resolution paid rich tribute to the armed forces for responding to hostile actions with exemplary restraint and responsibility, delivering a measured and effective response that upheld Pakistan’s sovereignty.

“The nation bows its head in humility before the Almighty for bestowing the honour of defending the motherland,” the resolution stated, recognizing the unity demonstrated by the nation that transcended political differences, as citizens stood firmly behind their leadership with a singular voice — Pakistan.

The House solemnly acknowledged the supreme sacrifices of the country’s martyrs, honouring them as symbols of national pride, resilience, and unity. The resolution also expressed sincere gratitude to friendly nations that extended support to Pakistan during this critical time.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to regional and global peace with dignity, the National Assembly emphasized that democracies seek dialogue, not conflict. It stressed that lasting peace and stability in South Asia can only be achieved through sincere and structured negotiations.

The resolution also called for proactive diplomatic engagement with the international community to resolve the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

Furthermore, it highlighted the importance of fully implementing the Indus Waters Treaty, affirming that protection of Pakistan’s water rights is vital to national security.

The House concluded by pledging to continue its constitutional role in defending national interests and promoting peace, unity, and security for the people of Pakistan.
