Motorway Police Rescue Abducted Trader on M-2

Islamabad: Inspector General of National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry on Friday awarded commendation certificates to officers who successfully recovered a kidnapped trader during a swift operation.

According to an official, a few days ago the Motorway Police, in a joint operation with Punjab Police, rescued a trader who had been abducted from Faisalabad. The recovery was made near Balkasar Interchange on the M-2 motorway.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were part of an inter-provincial gang involved in criminal activities across multiple regions.

The IG praised the officers for their professionalism, bravery, and dedication, calling their performance a reflection of the force’s strong commitment to public safety and effective law enforcement.

One killed in road accident in Karachi’s Korangi area

A man was killed in a road accident in the Korangi area of Karachi on Friday, according to rescue sources quoted by local media.

Initial reports said a rashly driven car struck a motorcyclist passing through the area, resulting in the young man’s death on the spot.

Rescue teams reached the scene after receiving information and shifted the body to a nearby hospital for necessary legal formalities.
