Motorway Police Issue Travel Advisory for Foggy Weather

News Desk

Lahore: The National Highways and Motorway Police have issued a travel advisory in view of heavy fog in various areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh.

According to the advisory, the risk of accidents on national highways and motorways increases significantly due to extremely low visibility caused by fog. In case of severe fog, relevant motorway sections may be temporarily closed for the safety of travelers.

The advisory urged travelers to complete their journeys between 10 am and 8 pm and to avoid unnecessary travel at night.

During travel, drivers must use fog lights, ensure that wipers are functioning properly, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, and avoid using high-beam lights as they further reduce visibility.

Furthermore, Motorway Police sources said that passengers should use the helpline number 130, FM 95 radio, and official social media channels to check the latest situation before starting their journey.
