Model Kseniya Alexandrova Dies Weeks After Elk Accident

Islamabad: A model and former beauty queen has tragically passed away at the age of 30, weeks after a freak accident involving an elk that smashed through her car’s windshield.
Kseniya Alexandrova sustained critical brain injuries in the collision, which occurred in July as she traveled through Tver Oblast, Russia. According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, she died in a Moscow hospital on August 12 due to complications from those injuries.
The incident took place on July 5 while Alexandrova and her husband were driving home from Rzhev. She was in the passenger seat when an elk suddenly leapt onto the road, giving them no time to react.
“In the moment between the elk jumping out and the impact, just a split second passed. I couldn’t do anything,” her husband told Rossiyskaya Gazeta. He described the immediate aftermath as chaotic and traumatic, saying Alexandrova was unconscious and the car was “covered in blood.”
Bystanders quickly stopped to help, and emergency services arrived within about 15 minutes. She was transported to a hospital in Moscow, but despite medical efforts, her injuries were too severe.
Alexandrova had married her husband just four months prior to the accident, a milestone she shared on Instagram.
In addition to her modeling work, she had a notable pageant career, representing Russia at Miss Universe 2017 and finishing as first runner-up in the Miss Russia pageant earlier that year, according to Us Weekly.
Outside the spotlight, she was also a practicing psychologist, having earned her degree from Moscow Pedagogical State University, as she shared in a November 2022 Instagram post.
Her modeling agency, Modus Vivendis, confirmed her passing in an Instagram statement on August 13.
“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our colleague and friend, Kseniya Alexandrova,” the translated statement read. “Kseniya was radiant and talented. She had a rare ability to inspire, uplift, and offer warmth to everyone around her. She will always be remembered as a symbol of beauty, kindness, and inner strength.”
The agency extended its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
