News Desk

Islamabad: The body of Taha, a 15-year-old student who went missing on Sunday, has been found on Margalla’s Hiking Trail 5 in Islamabad.

The student’s mother reported his disappearance to the Secretariat police station on Sunday.

Taha went hiking with friends on Trail 5 on Saturday morning and did not return.

Islamabad police, acting on information, located the body in a deep ravine between Pir Sohawa and Bari Imam.

Taha’s uncle has confirmed the identification of the body. SP (City) and ASP (Secretariat) are at the scene.

Police sources said that Taha’s water bottle, mobile phone, and bag were found near the body. Attempts to contact him were unsuccessful as his mobile phone was switched off.

Retrieving the body from the ravine is proving difficult, with Rescue 1122, MCI officials, wildlife, and forest department teams assisting in the effort.

The cause of Taha’s death remains unknown at this time.
