Millions Worth of Counterfeit Cigarettes Seized in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: The Regional Tax Office Rawalpindi took decisive action on Wednesday by shutting down a counterfeit cigarette manufacturing facility located in the Jhangi Syedan area.
During a coordinated operation, the Regional Tax Office team conducted a raid, resulting in the closure of the illicit factory. The authorities discovered cigarette manufacturing equipment and fake cigarette products valued at millions of rupees.
The clandestine factory, operating in the basement of a building, was responsible for producing counterfeit cigarettes of various brands, which were distributed nationwide.
Acting on the directives of Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Rawalpindi, Tahmina Amir, and supervised by Additional Commissioner Headquarters, Riaz Khan, Assistant Director Shujaat Khan, along with the team, executed the raid and took legal measures against the fraudulent cigarette manufacturing operation.
