Met Office Predicts Dry Weather for Karachi

News Desk

Islamabad: The Sindh Meteorology Department (Met Office) has predicted dry weather with cool and cold night to prevail over most parts of Sindh in the next 24 hours.

Sindh, located in southeastern Pakistan, boasts a distinctive and comparatively mild winter climate in contrast to other parts of the country. Positioned within a subtropical arid climate zone, Sindh experiences winters characterized by agreeable daytime temperatures and cool evenings.

From December to February, Sindh undergoes a noticeable drop in temperatures compared to the intense heat of the summer months.

Daytime temperatures typically hover between 20 to 25 degrees Celsius (68 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit), offering a welcome relief from the sweltering conditions prevailing throughout the rest of the year.

A prominent feature of Sindh’s winter climate is its aridness. Rainfall during this season is minimal, with clear skies and ample sunshine being the norm.

This dry atmosphere contributes to the pleasant daytime temperatures, making it an opportune time for outdoor pursuits and exploration.

However, despite the moderate daytime temperatures, nights in Sindh during winter can turn chilly. Temperatures often decline notably post-sunset, prompting residents to layer up and utilize blankets for warmth. In rural areas particularly, temperatures can approach freezing during the coldest nights.
