Punjab Police to Recruit 11,000 Constables, Traffic Assistants

Islamabad: The Punjab police have established a recruitment board for the hiring of 11,000 constables and traffic assistants, sources said on Wednesday.

The recruitment process is divided into two phases. In the initial phase, recruitment will be made in 26 districts of Punjab, including Rawalpindi and Jhelum.

The second phase will focus on recruiting police personnel in 10 districts, including Attock and Chakwal.

In the three-member recruitment board for Rawalpindi district, Syed Amin Bukhari, DIG Internal Accountability Board, has been designated as the chairman, with the SSP Operations Rawalpindi serving as the secretary, and Ismailur Rehman, AIG Logistics CPO Lahore, as a member.

Meanwhile, RPO Gujarat, Tayyab Hafeez Cheema, DPO Jhelum, and Mansoor Qamar, SP Headquarters PHP Punjab, will serve as members.

For the Chakwal district recruitment board, Ghazi Mohammad Salahuddin, DIG Welfare and Finance, will chair the board, with the DPO Chakwal as the secretary and Zunira Azfar, SSP Investigation Rawalpindi, as a member.

In Attock district, Ashfaq Ahmed Khan, Commandant Police College Sihala, will chair the board, with the DPO Attock serving as the secretary and Maham Khan, Additional SP Headquarters Rawalpindi, as a member.
