Mehdi Hassan’s son Sajjad dies of heart attack in Lahore

Lahore: Sajjad Mehdi, son of legendary ghazal singer Mehdi Hassan, passed away in Lahore on Monday after suffering a severe heart attack.
According to reports, Sajjad Mehdi was rushed to a hospital after experiencing chest pain, but doctors were unable to save him. Medical officials confirmed that he suffered a fatal cardiac arrest.
Family sources said Sajjad Mehdi was serving as a Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Punjab Police. His funeral prayers are scheduled for Tuesday after Zuhr at PIA Colony in Lahore.
Mehdi Hassan, renowned across South Asia for his timeless ghazals, passed away in 2012, leaving behind a musical legacy that continues to inspire generations of artists.
