Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited the flood relief camp in Multan on Wednesday and assured the victims of full government support.
During her visit, she inspected health, rescue, and other service counters at the camp, expressing satisfaction over the overall arrangements, including cleanliness.
At the Bela relief camp, the chief minister met with women and children, listened to their concerns, and pledged swift action for the rehabilitation of their homes. She also distributed essential items and clothing among women, gifted chocolates and biscuits to children, and even helped them put on shoes with her own hands.
However, CM Maryam showed displeasure over the closure of shops during her visit and demanded an immediate report, instructing officials to ensure that her presence did not cause inconvenience to the public.
