Lahore: Cloudy weather with scattered rain was experienced across Lahore on Sunday, with the Pakistan Meteorological.

Intermittent rainfall was reported in various parts of the city. The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) remained on high alert. Secretary Housing Noorul Amin Mengal, DG WASA Punjab Tayyab Farid, and MD WASA Ghufran Ahmed were actively monitoring the situation.

As a result, hot and very humid weather is expected to persist across most regions. However, rain-wind/thundershowers are likely in Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, and Gilgit-Baltistan, with chances of isolated heavy rainfall.

Rainfall was also recorded in Mangla, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Attock, Hafizabad, Murree, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lower Dir, Kakul, Peshawar, Mardan, Balakot, Kalam, Cherat, Garhi Dupatta, Muzaffarabad, Kotli, and Rawalakot.

Jacobabad registered the country’s highest temperature at 47°C, while Lahore recorded a high of 34°C. Meanwhile, the city’s average Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 81, with PM2.5 levels five times higher than the WHO’s recommended annual limit.
