Peshawar: Health Advisor Dr Riyaz Anwar assured that more reforms will be brought to the health care service and administrative deficiencies will be removed.

Instead of building new buildings in hospitals, they will focus on patient care and facilities, stated Dr Riyaz.

On the special instructions of Chief Minister Azam Khan, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government released two billion rupees for health (Sehat) cards on Saturday to restore health card service in various hospitals.

Earlier, the health card service was stopped due to a lack of funds, mentioned Dr Anwar.

A ban was imposed on unnecessary development work in Medical Teaching Institutions (MTI) hospitals, further said Health Advisor.

He said that MTI hospitals will entirely focus on the treatment of patients.
