King Abdullah II of Jordan Arrives in Islamabad

Islamabad: At the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in Islamabad on Saturday for a two-day visit to Pakistan.

Upon arrival, the King and his high-level delegation were welcomed at the airport by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Climate Change Musaddiq Malik, and Minister of State for Education Wajiha Qamar.

King Abdullah II’s visit underscores the long-standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Jordan. During his stay, he is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House, followed by delegation-level talks aimed at enhancing political, economic, and cultural cooperation.

Officials said the visit will further strengthen ties and broaden the scope of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
