Kidnap For Ransom: 13-Year-Old Boy Abducted Last Week Found Murdered

RAWALPINDI: The body of a 13-year-old boy abducted a few days ago was found lying in the washroom of an under-construction house within the Naseerabad police station on Saturday.

According to the initial investigation, the victim boy, identified as Mujbata Naseem, was abducted by unidentified perpetrators and was strangled to death.

Earlier, the victim boy’s father had reported to the police that his son is missing, adding that his son went out to play outside and didn’t return. Later, he received a call and the alleged kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs1 million.

While the kidnapped boy’s father escorted a police team in plain clothes when they reached the nominated locality to hand over the ransom amount to the kidnappers, they opened fire.

In retaliation, the police team also opened fire. During the exchange of firing, one of the kidnappers suffered critical injuries and later died.

A police constable namely Fahad was also injured in the exchange of fire between the police team and kidnappers. After the encounter, the police searched the building and found the body’s body in the washroom.

Superintendent of Police (Potohar) Muhammad Waqas Khan said that the facilitators of the kidnappers in the tragic incident will also be brought to justice.
