JI Will Not Step Back From Long March: Hafiz Naeem

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman asserted on Sunday that postponing the party’s planned long march does not signify a retreat, urging all political forces to unite in addressing pressing public grievances.
Addressing a public gathering in Karachi, the JI chief maintained that his party remains steadfast in its struggle for the rights of ordinary citizens.
He emphasized that the decision to defer the protest movement was tactical rather than a surrender of their core demands, particularly regarding exorbitant electricity tariffs and agreements with Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
The political landscape in Pakistan has seen heightened tensions as religious and political parties grapple with surging inflation and economic hardships.
