Khalid Shehzad, Chief Technology Officer at Jazz, emphasized that the transition was a carefully planned process over the past year. The shift will improve connectivity, particularly in underserved regions, and foster the growth of Pakistan’s digital ecosystem. Jazz has rolled out initiatives like free SIM upgrades and customer support to ensure a smooth transition to 4G for all users.
The move is also in compliance with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) regulations, setting a precedent in the telecom industry for spectrum reallocation in support of Pakistan’s digital progress. Jazz is committed to expanding its 4G network, with over 15,000 sites nationwide, further driving digital inclusion and connectivity.
