ITP Issues Traffic Plan for Sunday Rally

Islamabad: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced a comprehensive traffic diversion plan ahead of a cycle rally scheduled to take place in the federal capital on Sunday morning.
According to an ITP official, the rally will begin at 7:00am from Express Chowk, proceed along Jinnah Avenue up to Centaurus, and return to conclude at Express Chowk. Traffic diversions will remain in effect from 7:00am until the event concludes to ensure public safety and smooth vehicular movement.
Under the plan, traffic from Shaheen Chowk heading towards Tayyip Erdogan Interchange and Ninth Avenue will be diverted to Margalla Road, Faisal Chowk, Faisal Avenue, F-8 Service Road, Nazimuddin Road and Kaghan Road.
On Ninth Avenue near F-9 Park Gate No. 4 U-turn, commuters will be redirected to F-8 Service Road, Kohistan Road, Nazimuddin Road, Kaghan Road and Margalla Road.
At F-8 Exchange Chowk, vehicles moving towards Jinnah Avenue will be diverted via Johar Chowk, Nazimuddin Road, Kohistan Road, Kaghan Road and Faisal Avenue. Similarly, traffic from PIMS Loop towards Khayaban Roundabout will be rerouted through Khayaban Underpass, Faisal Avenue and Ibn-e-Sina Road.

Traffic at F-7/1 Corner and near Ufone Tower heading towards Jinnah Avenue will be redirected to Faisal Avenue, Khayaban Underpass (G-7/2 Loop), Fazal-ul-Haq Road, Nazimuddin Road and Margalla Road.
From Saudi Pak Tower and Attock/PSO Pump, vehicles will be diverted via Fazal-ul-Haq Road, Luqman Hakeem Road and alternate connecting arteries.
At Kulsoom Plaza/Nazimuddin Road and Chand Tara Chowk, traffic bound for Jinnah Avenue will be rerouted through China Chowk Underpass, Seventh Avenue, Margalla Road and Faisal Avenue.
Additional diversions will apply at Nazimuddin T-Cross, GEO Chowk and D-Chowk, where commuters will be guided towards Constitution Avenue, Aabpara, Suhrawardy Road, Srinagar Highway and other alternative routes.
The ITP said personnel will be deployed along the rally route to assist motorists and minimise inconvenience. Citizens have been advised to cooperate with traffic officials, follow instructions and use designated alternate routes during rally hours.
